IMPORTANT: top surface color choices
about 3 years ago – Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 10:40:04 PM

So I now have the color choices for your gaming/puzzling surfaces. It will be a single color for all tops you ordered, with the default color being black if you don't choose one.  We will be collecting color choices until Feb. 14th.  Here is the link to let us know which color you would like on your surface to be (again the default color is black):

Here are the colors with each type of wood:

Maple end board
Walnut end board
Cherry end board

Here are some links to the colors themselves:

Howdy folks

So a few questions have been coming in about the stretch goals, and we wanted to give everyone an update about them.  First, although the Backerkit survey lists only one for each backer, everyone will be getting two of each item.  They will not be stained to match your tables and come disassembled.  They are designed with joints that fit snugly together and need minimal glue (white school glue or wood glue), and directions will be included on how to put them together.  Also, because of a comment by Medwynd, we have resized the cardholders to hold cards with sleeves.  The dimensions are as follows:

Regular Cardholder:  2.7"x3.7" and these will look like this:

Small cardholders:  2.3"x2.9" and these will look like this:

Token Trays: 7.7"x2.25" and have four token compartments that are 1.5"x2.25" in size.  They will look like this:

Dice tray: 4"x7x1" and look like this:

With that, I would like to say that overall the project is going smoothly and we are planning to get a survey on color choices for your top boards out next week.  Our goal is to make sure that they will all complement your choices in wood (cherry, maple, or walnut) and give some variety for your color tastes (not everyone loves gray and black the way I do).

BackerKit surveys are coming!
over 3 years ago – Tue, Jan 05, 2021 at 12:41:46 PM

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like (those that purchased them on Kickstarter will already have them in your baskets). You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys on February 28th, 2021, and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at  https://the-qt.backerkit.com/ .

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://the-qt.backerkit.com/faq.

We would like to thank everyone who backed us and next week we will be sending out the survey on the colors for the tops. Until then have a great week and make sure to fill out those Backerkit surveys ASAP.

By the numbers
over 3 years ago – Tue, Dec 29, 2020 at 03:30:47 PM

I wanna start out by saying I hope everyone has enjoyed the first part of the holiday season and may your New Year celebrations be filled with good times and great memories.    We will be sending out the surveys soon once we get the final totals from Kickstarter about how many pledges we need to fulfill.  I have finished the last stretch goal design for the small cardholder.   I used Zombiecide cards for my general size requirements.  I am still working on a potential add-on in Backerkit for a closet hanger for the QT and should have it done by the new year.

Now to leave you with some numbers (based on the present number of people who have finalized their pledges.

#4 wood screws needed:  10,944

#6 wood screws needed:2,312

Magnets needed: 1,116

wooden buttons needed: 632

extra tops ordered: 100

50% ordered the maple

25% each of cherry and walnut

33% of orders were for the maple puzzle board gamer QT
